Kay started work at the practice in 1994, when the practice was a small one surgery practice in the town centre. She began her career as a receptionist, trained as a dental nurse and has worked her way up to Practice Manager. She has seen many changes at the practice over the years including moving premises, and enjoys seeing how the practice and the team has grown and how much they have achieved in this time.
She really loves it when a patient attends the practice and they are really nervous but leave the practice confident and happy to come back for more treatment because of the care that they have received and this has happened many times over the years.
She also loves how no two days are the same, she does finance, IT, HR, Maintenance, Health and Safety, and staff training on a daily basis and you may also see her working on reception or in surgery dental nursing.
Her hobbies include spending time with friends and family, walking her dog, reading, she enjoys a good crime thriller, and listening to music. After a gap of a couple of decades she has just taken up horse riding again.
A fun fact about Kay is that she is a retired trophy winning race car driver.
